Come March in the Memorial Day Parade, Sunday, May 28

Posted on May 24 2017 - 8:55pm

Before heading off to your traditional picnic, come join us in celebrating Memorial Day by marching in Monroe's annual parade! The Troop will be marching as a group on Sunday, May 28. Accompanying us will be World War II Army veteran, Mr. George Ward, who will be riding in an authentic WW II Army Jeep driven by Mr. Davis. Please be sure to say hello to Mr. Ward and thank him for his service! The parade is a special way to recognize those who have served our country and, in particular, those who have paid the ultimate price. Please sign up on the website if you are available to march! We will assemble between 1:00 and 1:15 pm on Lower Elm Street, near Slot Number 13. Be sure to look for the green Army Jeep and let Mr. Davis know you are there. Wear Class A uniforms and sunscreen for this event. Parents are welcome to march along with the Troop, or can opt to meet their Scout at Monroe Green at the parade's conclusion. See attached document for more information. Have fun and remember to salute our veterans!
